Solar photovoltaic systems
Think about the environment with alternative forms of energy that also benefit your finances
In 2010 SoftControl developed its own solar panels and mounting system, but in 2013 we switched to reseller agreements with leading solar panel companies such as Eurener and Solarday. We do not sell solar panels that are linked to forced labor in Chinese production. Within mounting systems, we have products from Solar Construct and Renusol. We sell inverters from DEYE and Growatt for photovoltaic systems, and hybrid inverters from Growatt and KSTAR.
Solar energy, like other forms of renewable energy, could be the way to make Denmark independent of fossil fuels by 2050.
Invest in your own future with a renewable form of energy that can be used in different ways. Solar cells are probably the most widely used form of energy for generating electricity because they have a number of advantages such as being green, noise-free and reliable. Solar cells have a long lifespan and do not require high maintenance costs. You can even save on your electricity bill and produce your own power for your household.
You have several possible applications for solar photovoltaic systems such as::
- Directly connected to the grid
- Island operation
- Hybrid systems
Direct grid connection
This type of connection is the most common in Denmark. It is particularly suitable for installations that are connected to the old annual billing method or for households with high daytime consumption. You are allowed to consume the power that your system produces and you can sell the surplus power to the grid. This sale to the electricity grid depends on which scheme you are affiliated with the electricity company, but your own household consumption is exempt from public taxes and charges when you produce your own electricity.
You need an inverter when installing a grid-connected PV system. Solar panels produce direct current, which needs to be converted to alternating current to make it usable. This uses an inverter that converts the solar energy so you can use the power at home and be connected to the public grid. So you don't need to replace the wiring or electrical appliances in your home. The electricity meter in your home keeps track of how much of the generated electricity you use yourself and how much the solar photovoltaic system sends back to the grid.
Offgrid solutions
This is a smaller solar power system that is not connected to the public electricity grid. Therefore, it is referred to as an 'off-grid solution.' All solar power produced is stored in a battery storage system and then converted into AC 230V. This type of solar system is typically used in allotment gardens, vacation homes, caravans, sailboats, and other places where there is no fixed electricity grid.
Hybrid systems
A hybrid system is a combination of being connected to the electricity grid, but with the added benefit of being able to store the electricity you produce in a battery storage system. This system works by monitoring both solar production and consumption. This means that if there is excess electricity in the household for an extended period, the surplus energy can be sold back to the utility company. This is a great advantage and provides the largest possible savings on your electricity bill.
For example, you can use the surplus electricity to charge your electric car for free, heat the bathroom floor for free, or do a load of laundry at no cost.
